According to estimates by the United Nations (UN) , the world population in 2100 will move between 15,800 million people and the 6,200 million, figures that are lower than today´s 7,000 million population
The study, published in an academic journal, has used the UN population offered between 1950 and 2100.
"This is a model describes the evolution of a two-tier system" explains Felix F. Muñoz, UAM researcher and co-author.
The team has considered the Earth as a closed and finite. In this case migration does not affect.
The data also reflects the downward trend in the number of UN forecasts."This work is an element for debate, but we do not enter in the important economic, demographic and political issues," concludes the researcher.
