Anna Widegren is not new to the education sector at European level or to Brussels. Anna started out as a young activist in an international organisation dealing with intercultural dialogue and non-formal education. This led her to the European youth policy and non-formal education arena where she eventually started working at the Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions a few years ago. She has an international background: born Swedish, she grew up in Italy and then she completed her studies in Scotland. Not surprisingly, she feels at home working in an international environment for a European organisation like ESU! During her previous experiences she had already had contact with ESU on several occasions and always had a very good impression of the organisation and its work.
