IÉSEG School of Management continues expansion with 50 million Euro investment develop its Paris

L´IÉSEG School of Management, announced that it will be investing 50 million Euros* in the construction of a new 8000m² building at its Paris campus in the heart of the La Defense business district. The building will be ready to welcome students in September 2017.

The project of the new building at La Défense, which is just 200m away from the current campus in Grande Arche, has been entrusted to Franklin Azzi Architecture, a renowned agency which has worked on various projects in France (such as the “Ecole des Beaux Arts” in Nantes) and internationally.

The building will include numerous lecture theaters (290, 100 and 50 seats), classrooms, offices, a cafeteria and trading room.

When finalized in 2017, IÉSEG’s Paris-La Defense campus will be able to welcome nearly twice as many students and staff (on a 14 000m² campus) than at present.

Jean-Philippe Ammeux, Director of IÉSEG, explains: «This investment will allow us in the coming years to pursue our strategy of growth and diversification of the programs we offer to students and professionals. We will be able to welcome an increasing number of students and academics on a magnificent campus in the heart of La Defense, a leading European business district.”

In addition to its flagship program, the Programme Grande École (Master in Management), IÉSEG offers in Paris, 6 specialised Masters of Science, an International MBA, an Executive MBA and customized executive education programs.

Expansion planned on both campuses IÉSEG has also recently finalized a new 2000m² building on its historic campus in Lille and plans to further extend it in the next years.

"In recent years, we have implemented a strategy of internationalization and diversification of our programs to confirm our place among the best business schools in France and internationally. Our real estate projects in Paris and Lille stem from this objective," explains Jean-Philippe Ammeux.

Strategy and priority development areas for 2025 …

For over a year, the IÉSEG community (students, academic and administrative staff, graduates, and companies) has been working together on a Vision process to collectively outline a Vision for the School in 2025. This collaborative process is based on an analysis of the School’s strengths, areas for improvement, its roots and values as well as the identification of future trends. Based on these elements, the Vision for 2025 is currently being finalized, and will form the basis of the School’s next Strategic plan that will be published early next year.
