International Students who participate in the ELS Educational Language Services Facebook Page learn about student life abroad, English language tips, holidays and cultural customs. Students also engage with ELS on Twitter, FourSquare and watch informational videos on YouTube.
“ELS is exploring new techniques in social media to develop our international communications outreach to prospective students. We feel very fortunate to witness our messaging uniting these international students in one community, founded on a common interest in English study and international higher education.” says ELS Director of e-Marketing, Simon A. Heathcote.
In addition to ELS’s student success on Facebook, it continues to build a presence on Twitter and LinkedIn to reach its professional constituents and colleagues in higher education. ELS utilizes these social media platforms to help establish their presence for International Student Recruitment, a leading source for universities who wish to bring international students to their campuses. Students who complete the ELS English program can apply to more than 650 partner universities worldwide.
