Jameson Dublin International Film Festival to present the best in new European cinema

France’s Pascal Bonitzer, Olivier Assayas and Costa-Gavras will be among several of the visiting film-makers offering insights into their work. Danish writer/directors Tobias Lindholm and Mads Matthiesen will also be Festival participants, as will UK Directors Sophie Fiennes, Scott Graham and actor Tim Roth, who stars in Broken, the film being screened in the Gala Opening. The line-up is further enhanced by award-winning German actor Birgit Minichmayr, Spanish co-directors Patxo Telleria and Aitor Mazo, Lithuanian director Kristina Buozyte, and Polish screenwriter Krzysztof Kopka.

A Festival highlight will be A European Perspective: Conversations with Leading European Directors, a chance for film fans to hear leading Irish and international film-makers in conversation about their craft and what inspires them.
