Messi inspires Barcelona

Paris Saint- Germain anticipated in the goal lead thanks to the Argentinian player Javier Pastore. The goal arrived five minutes after the break as an excellent one-two between Pastore and Ibrahimovic sent the Argentine in behind the Barça defence and this time there was nothing Valdes could do to keep out his left-footed finish.

Pastore missed an other great chance to register his second goal. But something special was about to happen, Messi replaced Fabregas and as usual he changed the match.

The arrival of the best football player in the world instantly forced Barça onto the front foot, and in a key move between Villa and Pedro which unexpectedly become a goal of Pedro. This goal put Barcelona into a sixth straight semifinal and on course for a fourth Champions League title in eight seasons.

It should also be emphasized that PSG had done things well, Ibrahimovic and Lucas had also the chance to score a goal but Victor Valdes was excellent.

Finally it is clear that Messi always shows up in big games.
