Most Europeans believe being in EU benefits their country

Ibercampus
Two-thirds of Europeans believe EU membership has benefited their country, according to an EU-wide survey to be published on 18 October. This is four percentage points more than in 2016. The share of people who think EU membership has not benefited their countries, on the other hand, fell by six percentage points, from 31% to 25%.

However, results vary from one country to another. While 90% of respondents from Ireland think EU membership has benefited their country, only 39% of Italians would agree. Do people think their voice counts in the EU? Is EU membership of their country a good thing?  The answer will come on 18 October when Parliament publishes the full results of a Parlemeter poll, which was carried out last month.
